Hi Friends!
I want to take a moment to tell you all about a mission that I am passionate about, and that is the Range of Motion Project (https://rompglobal.org). This organization has a very important mission to help the underserved communities of Guatemala and Ecuador to receive necessary prosthetic devices and prosthetic care.
For those of you who know me personally, you may know that I have a permanent disability due to osteoarthritis caused by a devastating accident I was in at the age of 16. (Find that story here: https://www.instagram.com/exosymstagram/)
I have struggled with mobility for over half of my life and, as a result, have experienced many physical challenges as my mobility declined. I was blessed to receive the appropriate care in 2023 when I received a hybrid prosthetic/orthotic device called the Exosym and felt like I was given a second chance at life alongside my newfound gift of mobility.
Because of the impact this device had on my life, and when I discovered ROMP Global, I knew that I wanted to help them in their mission. As an Ambassador to ROMP, my newest goal is to be paired with an actual patient that is in need of a prosthetic device and fundraise $2,500 in order for him to receive the components and continued care that go with a prosthesis. No gift is too small to help Carlos stand, and even walk, again. Help me to help Carlos receive the prosthetic leg he needs so that he can resume life, provide for his family, and have a second chance after amputation.
